SENNEBOGEN INTRODUCES THE NEW 835M C SERIES MACHINE
AT THE ISRI SHOW
Charlotte, NC: Sennebogen North America introduced the 835M C Series machine at the recent ISRI Show, April 10th – 12th in Orlando. According to Erich
Erich Sennebogen, Jr., Managing Director of SENNEBOGEN GmbH, points out some of the new features of the modular system at the recent ISRI Show in Orlando, Florida.
Sennebogen Jr., Managing Director of Sennebogen GmbH and responsible for the new series of machines, met with distributors from around the country, "We listened to what the marketplace was saying about our product and the category as a whole. Then we sat down with our engineers and had them apply this information to the new design. All of the changes that we have incorporated into the 835M have also been incorporated into our tracked machines as well as the Special Machines that are designed and built to meet customer demands around the world."

"The response at the show as nothing less than spectacular," reported Keith Ahlstrom, National Sales Manager for Sennebogen North America, out of Charlotte, North Carolina. "We were busy from before the show opened in the morning to the very last hour of the show on Saturday afternoon."

According to Sennebogen, the B Series was strong and built for purpose as material handlers. "The C Series machines are even tougher," said Ahlstrom, "and are equipped with a new standard 266 Hp Caterpillar diesel engine".

Other changes include one large hydraulic axial piston pump with a 145 gpm capacity. Sennebogen engineers felt that replacing the 100 gpm pump and the 43 gpm pump with a larger pump would result in delivering 70% more speed in a single function application. The end result is more cycles per shift.

In the cooling system, there were significant changes. Each one was designed to improve the efficiency of the machine. The fan was decoupled from the engine and is now driven hydraulically. As well, with a simple switch the operator can reverse the fan to clean the radiator as well as the special screen enclosure. This enclosure was specifically developed to handle harsh working environments including working in close proximity to a shredding operation. "This feature allows additional circulation to the fan keeping the unit running cooler and eliminating any obstructions and keeping dirt and debris from plugging up the cooling system," said Ahlstrom. As well, the Sennebogen engineers used better hose guides in the stick and boom and eliminated all 90º angles on the system. "This increases the flow and in turn reduces the heat," explained Ahlstrom.

Other design features of the new 835M C Series machines include:
• Hydraulic cab that rises an extra foot using 2 lift cylinders for enhanced stability
• A roomier cab for more operator comfort
• A 25 kilowatt generator that is driven off the front of the engine
• Improved noise reduction system that makes it quieter and a better place to work
• Better placement of all the service points to simplify the accessibility for on site maintenance

Finally, according to Ahlstrom, one of the most important new features is the C Series undercarriage. "This new undercarriage is 8" wider and 12" longer making it one of the most stable rubber tired machines available on the market today. This increase makes it more mobile and it can handle just about any terrain without difficulty," said Ahlstrom. "Visitors to the booth just could not get over how solid and stable the machine appeared, especially when compared to some of the competitive models. Our distributors and I are very excited about this new machine and know that pound for pound, we have one of the finest material handlers on the market today."
