THE MAMMOTH SENNEBOGEN 870 MATERIAL HANDLERS ... BRINGING POWER AND PRODUCTIVITY TO THE YARD |
|
Charlotte, North Carolina: Sennebogen's Green Line 870 M, 870 M-HD and 870 R-HD material handlers offer the kind of performance and productivity demanded by today's round-the-clock scrap metal operation. Available in both wheeled (M and M-HD) and crawler (R-HD) formats, the 870 Series offers a maximum lifting capacity up to 61,070 lbs. (27.7 t) and a boom reach of almost 69 feet (21.0 m) placing it among one of the top performers in its class. "We are pleased and proud to be able to introduce for the first time one of the world's best known names in material handlers in North America," said Erich Sennebogen Jr., Managing Director of Sennebogen GmbH. "These are material handlers that set high standards in both productivity and mobility. They are also tough reliable and built by a company with over 50 years of engineering experience." The wheeled 870 M with four-point outrigger, rubber tires and wide-gauge axles weighs in at 145,500 lbs (66 t). The machine is powered by a water-cooled Deutz diesel engine which generates 408 Hp (300 kW) at 1,900 rpm and has a ground speed of up to 6.2 mph. This means fast cycle times in the yard between jobs. Boom functions are controlled by Sennebogen's own state-of-the-art load-sensing hydraulic system. According to Keith Ahlstrom, Sales Manager, "These are not modified excavators. These were designed specifically to be material handlers and it shows in the extra design strength and engineering built into each model." For the extra weight demanded in certain applications, the 870 R-HD has an operating weight of 194,000 lbs. (88 t). It is a size and weight that recognizes the high productivity demanded by busy, fast moving and profitable operations. Boom and swing systems are governed by Sennebogen's unique and reliable load sensing system with variable displacement pumps. A central service board allows for easy and quick verification of the complete hydraulic system. The material handling boom is of a box type design with extra large sealed bearings for long working life. A central greasing system is standard. Aware that a comfortable operator is a productive operator, Sennebogen's F2000 cab is ergonomically designed with fully adjustable control column and air cushioned seating. Visibility to all sides is excellent and includes a large roof skylight. An optional fully hydraulic adjustable cab allows the operator maximum visibility over the job site. Sennebogen's Diagnostic System (SDS) allows the operator to monitor all essential machine and engine functions and includes both visual and audible warning systems. To maximize machine usage, Sennebogen provides a full range of attachments matched to the machine. Key machine maintenance points can be reached from ground level and a large capacity fuel tank provides extra time on the job between refuellings. SENNEBOGEN has been a leading name in the global material handling industry for more than 50 years. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, SENNEBOGEN North America offers a complete line of purpose-built machines to suit virtually any heavy lift or "pick & carry" application. A growing network of distributors supports SENNEBOGEN sales and service across North America, ensuring the highest standard of professional machine support and parts availability. |
