BRIGGS EQUIPMENT TARGETS GROWTH IN
FLORIDA WITH SENNEBOGEN
PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CHARLOTTE, NC - Building on a strong reception by customers in North and South Carolina, one of the largest equipment distributors in America's southeast will now represent SENNEBOGEN green line material handlers in the state of Florida.

Constantino Lannes, President of SENNEBOGEN North America, announced that Briggs Equipment, with its Construction and Scrap Handling Equipment headquarters in North Carolina, has been appointed to service the company's customers in Florida. With 15 sales and service locations throughout the southern seaboard states, this appointment consolidates SENNEBOGEN customer service in the region with one of the industry's most respected distribution organizations.

Briggs Equipment has been actively developing an expanded range of products to increase its offering to niche markets over the past two years. Recognized as the largest CASE equipment distributor in North America, Briggs' Construction Equipment Division first took on the SENNEBOGEN line of purpose-built material handling machines in Spring of 2003. Founded in 1952, Briggs Equipment made its name as a major supplier of lift truck equipment and also operates one of America's "Top 25" equipment rental fleets.

According to Briggs' Sales Manager Scott McGuigan, the SENNEBOGEN machines give his firm a more complete product range to offer customers in scrap handling markets and port operations. "We have been wanting to diversify our customer base," he explains. "We have been very pleased with the support from SENNEBOGEN to meet customer needs and with the manufacturing quality of the machines."

According to Lannes, "Getting Briggs to represent SENNEBOGEN in Florida is a big plus for us and our distribution network. When you have a company like Briggs, you know that you have a distributor that focuses on the customer."

McGuigan looks forward to enjoying the same success with SENNEBOGEN in Florida that he has seen in the Carolinas. "Customer response has been excellent; it's very rare that a SENNEBOGEN machine comes back after we put it out to demo. Florida is a good scrap market and a good port market, so we see a chance to grow our business here as SENNEBOGEN grows its market presence in America."

SENNEBOGEN has been a leading name in the global material handling industry for more than 50 years. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, SENNEBOGEN North America offers a complete line of purpose-built machines to suit virtually any heavy lift or "pick & carry" application. A growing network of distributors supports SENNEBOGEN sales and service across North America, ensuring the highest standard of professional machine support and parts availability.
