The SENNEBOGEN 870 M Special masters the increased demands in harbour handling efficiently and in superior style. The operator can comfortably and safely enter the new Skylift II harbour cab from the ground.

Since recently the company A. Hendriksen Shipping A/S, based in the harbour town of Hundested, Denmark, has been using the new SENNEBOGEN 870 M Special for harbour handling with great success.

With a lifting capacity of over 8 tons at maximum reach of 19 metres and a grab depth of 9 metres this machine is ideal for heavy-duty handling in the harbour. Henrik Birch Christiansen and Jeff Bisbjerg had thoroughly tested a different machine before they decided for the SENNEBOGEN 870 M Special.

The power of the machine combined with easy-to-understand technology and comfortable machine handling were key criteria in favour of the 870 M Special. With the implementation of this machine productivity has risen by 30 percent while consumption has gone down by one fourth. Being an absolute novelty the 870 M Special is equipped with the Skylift II harbour cab. The cabin can be lowered to the ground, which allows the operator to enter the spacious and comfortable cabin easily and, above all, safely. The harbour cab, which can be moved forward by 9 m from the machine centre, offers optimum views in every work situation for more active safety and efficiency. In addition, the cab can be hydraulically raised and, combined with the 2-metre pylon allows for a maximum operator eye-level of 10.5 metres.
The ergonomic arrangement of all operating elements and functions and the generous space ensure concentrated and fatigue-free working. The 870 M Special has an operating weight of 100 t and is driven by a powerful new-generation 300 kW diesel engine.
