SENNEBOGEN PARTNERS WITH MIDLANTIC MACHINERY IN CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA

HARRISBURG, PA – Constantino Lannes, President of SENNEBOGEN LLC, is pleased to announce that Midlantic Machinery, a trusted name in the heavy equipment business since 1941, has become the official distributor of SENNEBOGEN purpose-built material handlers for Central Pennsylvania. SENNEBOGEN sales and service are available in Midlantic’s Harrisburg, PA and Wilkes-Barre, PA locations.

According to Shawn Gallagher, Midlantic Director of Sales, Midlantic Machinery actively pursued a partnership with SENNEBOGEN in order to meet its mandate of diversifying its operations and expanding its area of interest. “We felt that SENNEBOGEN offered the right product to help us branch out in other market areas and meet the needs of our customers. Since we took on the line in February 2009, it has been very well received in our marketplace.”

Midlantic to diversify with SENNEBOGEN line
Gallagher says that Midlantic initially began marketing its new SENNEBOGEN line to local scrap operations, as this was the obvious starting point for a new distributor. But they knew that the purpose-built material handler was going to be a key to their ongoing diversification and growth. Thanks to the excellent training Midlantic staff have received from Constantino Lannes, President of SENNEBOGEN LLC, Regional Sales Manager, Anthony Laslavic and Service Manager, Jim Westlake, they have come to appreciate the machines’ numerous other potential applications.

“In addition to the scrap industry, we see our SENNEBOGEN line addressing the needs of a myriad of customer applications, including forestry, port applications, aggregates, coal generation plants, wood processing operations and transfer stations, just to name a few,” says Gallagher. “To date, we have quoted a number of machines and at present have a unit in stock that we are using for demonstrations. Our customers are very interested in the capabilities and performance of the machine.”

Impressed with SENNEBOGEN simplicity of design
Midlantic service technicians have been factory-trained. “This ensures that SENNEBOGEN customers receive the world class support service and effort to keep them running at minimum cost,” says Gallagher. “This is a trademark of the company, the oldest continuous Komatsu dealer in the US since 1974.

Gallagher says his service people are very impressed with the quality of the SENNEBOGEN machines and their simplicity of design which allows for easy service and maintenance access.

Gallagher recently returned from a visit to the SENNEBOGEN facility in Charlotte, North Carolina, the hub of SENNEBOGEN service to North American customers. He was impressed with the amount of investment the company has made in ensuring efficient access to parts, equipment, and technical support for its distributors and customers. “SENNEBOGEN uses modular stocking, right down to having complete engines ready to go,” he says. “That’s the way the SENNEBOGEN machines are built – and that’s the way they stock their parts. As a Komatsu dealer familiar with Cummins engines, we also like the fact that SENNEBOGEN uses Cummins engines in many of its models.”

Gallagher praises the flexibility that SENNEBOGEN engineering provides, noting that it’s not something distributors always receive from other manufacturers. “The SENNEBOGEN line is a good fit for us and the right package for our customers,” says Gallagher.
